Communication in Mycology 101

About the workshop

This 3 hour workshop aims to address the core communication skills required for ‘beginner’ research scientists learning to establish their research repertoire. These skills include:

  • making an impressive oral presentation
  • writing a good article for publication
  • preparing a research proposal
  • preparing a ‘fit-for-purpose’ CV

These core skills will be the main topics of discussion in this Workshop. The format is as follows.

  1. There will be an initial separate group discussions on each of the four topics facilitated by an expert in the skill area.
  2. This will be followed by a sharing session where all four groups get together and are led by the four experts for common discussions.
Who is eligible?

A maximum of 60 participants will be accommodated, based on a first-come-first-served basis.
The workshop is open to research students and young faculty members who have just started their academic career and wish to reinforce their publication portfolio. Only those who have paid their registration fees will be considered.
